I mean, ok I get it. Animals are super cute and you want for them to be happy but, why should you be putting your life and that of others at risk by letting cute little birds have nests on your chimney? Overtime, these things get accumulated in your chimney and they increase your risks of having a fire.
This can easily be prevented by just simply doing monthly check ups and cleanings of your chimney to make sure it is as clean as it can be so that you can have that beautiful chimney fire are you are drinking some hot chocolate or coffee.
2.Make sure that rain or water has not damaged your chimney if you want to save some money
Eventually, some repair work needs to be done to your property and that is ok. But, there are some things that can be treated in a preventive manner to avoid having to spend so much money repairing them!
You need to make sure your chimney is covered from getting damaged by water as water will make your chimney deteriorate a whole lot faster and you know what that means right? You will have to spend a lot more money on repair to get this fixed. And that is definitely not good!
